Well I probably made the last batch of eggnog for the season today. Sure is good though. Anybody else get to make some this year? Here's a picture from Christmas morning.

Re: Last Eggnog for the season
Have never made home made. Wife and kids won't drink it either. Our chickens aren't laying much this time of year, so I'll save the eggs for breakfast.
I finished of the last of a half-gallon of Braum's eggnog tonight. It's the only store-bought brand I like. I don't think I'm up to downing the second half-gallon. I think I'll freeze it and get it out for Independence Day! (why not?)

Good stuff. Me and the boys like it, the wife will tolerate a small class for herself once a season when I make it.

Re: Last Eggnog for the season
Absolutely. We have some of my Grand Aunt's cookbooks and several receipes for eggnogs. Drinking fresh eggnog, a good fire, a good meal, some fresh snow, and shooting Levers & revolvers is a great way to spend any day.
