Drool alert! DROOL ALERT!!!

Post by Ysabel Kid »

My favorite case at the National Firearms Museum at the NRA headquarters in Fairfax, VA...

Sorry about the picture quality - little skills (especially compared to KirkD!), not a great camera, reflective glass (requiring angled shots), and me gimping around with this darned pinched nerve...

Well, if you have to 'gimp', then I guess that's as good a place as any...!

Hope you feel better.

None of those guns will ever be held by a shooter or used again. :|

There used to be a TV show where a contestant pushed a shopping cart through a store and tried to fill it as fast as possible. You could pack a lot of levers into a shopping cart!

My wife and I went there during our honeymoon. She lived in Fairfax city for a bit and knew right where it was. I especially liked the statute or Charleton Heston as Will Penny and the guns must be seen to be believed....

I've been 6 times and still haven't seen enough. They keep changing displays. My all time favorite was "the real guns of our reel heros" boy that was something. The gatling gun used by John Wayne in Rooster Cogburn was pretty cool too.! Of course the M1 garand display was nice...then there was...ok I loved it all. Tom

Griff I'm in a hurry and did not have time to read the thread, but I did look at the photos, that sure is a nice gun collection you have there! How do you get time to shoot all of them?

It is just too bad that none of those guns will ever get to bet shot or at least fondlded again. I really feel bad for them...... :( I think someone (like me  ) should be able to get a job that would involve taking one gun out ever day to shoot just so they don't get lonely.

Nope, not me! I want them ALL :D ----------Sixgun---------I've seen those guns and my feeling is that they could not be in a better place. NOBODY gets 'em. There! I feel better now.
