Pray/Think good thoughts for me...

Post by Old Ironsights »

I have to tell the wife that #1 kitty died today while she was at work...

It was the best thing for the cat, (metastatic lymphoma overtaking the intestines & invading other organs) but still won't be easy for her... :(

Yep, already in progress. Take care of her and give her our sympathies.

Willdo. We lost our dog in June and it's still painful. :(

Mr. Ironsights,

Prayers sent.

We know when we get one of those cute four legged furry critters that we'll be faced with this situation sooner or later, but we make them part of our homes anyway. I'm sure the peace and happiness they bring are one of God's gifts to us.

OI -

I'm sorry to hear that. Prayers and thoughts heading out. Pets certainly become part of one's family. I know a lot of change is coming up, and this probably ended for the best timing-wise as you noted. No one wants a loved pet to suffer. I hope she takes it okay...

Mr.,
my 17 year old Himalayan cat went this year,
when the doc told me renal failure, I said " is he in pain "?
she said " yes " I said end it now
No brainer for me.
You could imagine after 17 years, he was a big part of my life.

Nancy has found an herbal product called Stress Response by Gaia Harbals. Two capsules after a meal. It has helped her manage her current high level of stress without side effect. I've taken them a couple of times when my hat's a little too tight and didn't notice any effect other than my mouth was more easily kept in check.

http://www.gaiaherbs.com/product.php?id=303

As with all herbals, check with your Rx or Dr for contraindications if you might be taking any meds.
Kind regards,
Tycer

Things are going pretty well. She's a trooper. Might be harder for her today at work when her coworkers start laying on the sympathy, but I think it will be OK.
