Re: Can anyone identify this?
WOW ! I've never seen anything like that before !
It somehow looks "European", and smokeless powder/early 1900's, IMO.

Re: Can anyone identify this?
I was thinking the same thing - European, or perhaps a Russian attempt at a lever-action?
Re: Can anyone identify this?
No idea, but the knurling on it is pretty, and the outside action seem pretty ingenious.

Re: Can anyone identify this?
For some reason, like the trigger shape & rear action lines, and that arced bar - I keep thinking: "Martini" ?
I wonder if it could be an arcane British design ?

HEY ! ! - As someone pointed out, NO SIGHTS !
Could it be a .410 levergun ?
Although the levergun is generally considered uniquely American, with a few Euro models like the Sako "johnny-come-lately's" - those sling swivels definitely look European.

Re: Can anyone identify this?
Barrel size indicates a 10ga, or possibly 12 ga. Top eject, and the lever design, side link screams Browning/Remington but not likely. I think the overall look of the gun indicates India, or Africa, so British??? I certainly am interested in what it is....

Re: Can anyone identify this?
I just finished a tour of the firearms collection at Buffalo Bill Historical Center, they have just about everything imaginable there but nothing like that !! Dying of curiosity here. If all else fails, send your photos to the NRA Museum and they will look it up for you, I dont think there is a charge for this.
Are there no markings whatsoever on this?

Re: Can anyone identify this?
Is it rifled or smoothbore.Looks like with all the fancy work on wood and steel that it may be a custom made English safari rifle if it is rifled,or an upland grouse gun if smoothbore(Purdy?)Shore is pretty and very unique.BJ

Re: Can anyone identify this?
It's a Larsen-Winterros! Designed by August L. Larsen and C.E. Winterros of Liege, Belgium. 1884.
According to Luggs Firearms Past & Present it does have a tubular magazine under the barrel.

Re: Can anyone identify this?
It looks like a lever-action shotgun of some kind. (410 bore mabey?) I do agree it looks European. I have never seen anything like it though. All the moving parts look like they are on the outside.

Re: Can anyone identify this?
Yes, In my collection, I have every model and caliber made by Larsen-Winterros. They are all new-in-the-box with optional tang sights. Most are gold inlaid and were originally presented to World leaders.
