Toni has stomach surgery today, so a few kind thoughts are in order for her, Joe, and the kids.

UPDATE:

Thanks for the wishes. The "exploratory" surgery turned into two separate stomach hernias and a severed muscle. A few hrs in O.R. and it is fixed. She will be spending a day or two in the hospital for monitoring and resting. It will be another day before we know if she'll be able to sit up at all. Recovery is 3 weeks if things are on track.

Joe - good news, and prayers will continue. I hope she can take the time to rest up and recover proper. Better yet, I hope you can take the time off to manage the kids and household so she can rest up!!!

Spoke with her on the phone one time about a year ago. Nice Lady. Prayers up for a speedy recovery. Prayers also sent for strength for Joe and the kids to be able to cook and clean and take care of her while she recovers.
