I was forced at gunpoint by my pusher, today, to accept this new Rossi M92 .38/.357 8+1 16" Carbine ( I call it a Trapper) - and I guess now I'm gonna HAVE TO get some ammo to fed the durn thing ! ;)

I dunno, 'bout thet bigfoot, tho - I might havta swap it out fer a standard loop.

Believe me, ammo is in short supply and expensive!

But of course, I stand ready to help a friend. Ship it to me and I'll break it in for you!

Don't thank me, I'm just generous that way....

Nice. That would be a handy saddle gun if it didn't have that largish sized lever.

Sweet. :D

Shoot it for bit before you get rid of the big loop lever. You may find you like it.
"People who object to weapons aren't abolishing violence, they're begging for rule by brute force, when the biggest, strongest animals among men were always automatically 'right.' Guns ended that, and social democracy is a hollow farce without an armed populace to make it work."

Sniff, this is what just makes my heart go pitter-patter. The outpouring of self-sacrifice people make on this forum. Excuse me - I need to go get a tissue!

That is a neat orphan. I love my large loop on my .357. some like em, some don't. I'm sure I could find a place next to its brother from another mother should it be troublesome to feed.

I heard offline from a vintage fellow levergunner, who's generously offered to swop finger levers with me (Thank's, pardner !), so when my vig arrives near the end of the month, and I can finance some ammo to give 'er a try - I'll have some deep considerin' ta do.

I've owned (maybe) 50 leverguns before this one, over the years - but never a big loop.
I can't say I'm deeply in love with the "look", but experience has taught me that the proof's in the puddin', if nothing else - so IMHO it deserves a fair lick, before I swap it out.

No wine, before it's time. ;)

Just great. I have a passel of Rossi's, a number of Marlins and a few Winchester levers. Figured I could be satisfied with what I have. Then I decided I needed a Ruger 44 special, which I was lucky to find and thought I had found contentment. Now I feel a craving for a little trapper, but I would like to get an octagon barrel, possibly stainless steel. Of course it would have to be a .357/38 special. You people are terrible, like waving booze around and alcoholic. Does it never end???? Looks rather nifty for little rifle. Need one for one of my new scabbards. ATB
