Took my daughter's partner and his father to the range yesterday - their first time shooting anything. We shot original Winchesters, my Old Armys,Sniders and my Shiloh Sharps.
After a few hours inhaling black powder smoke both were so addicted they joined our club on the spot. Ben wants to get into CAS competition but his dad Roger, being a Civil War buff (yours, not ours) wants a Berdan Sharps and a Spencer.
Adding two new levergunners to the tiny pool of UK shooters seemed like a day well spent to me, even if it meant spending most of today cleaning black powder guns.

I don't know whether to be happy about your two new shooters or mad that you've never posted a picture of that Shiloh Sharps!

Onya Perry, England needs all the shooters it can muster. Love the pic of the Sharps, beautiful wood on the butt too by the look of it. Nailed a couple of hares about 8 weeks ago, your recipe was rather good to say the least. Many thanks and keep up the good work. Washed it down with a nice De'bertolli port, and dare I say a fine cigar afterwards. Man needs more than one vice, my other is fine guns.
