Gonna be A Long week

I just won an auction on Gunbroker for a new in box Marlin 1895 45-70. it went for a lot less even shipped than many of the used ones that are listed. I am pretty excited . I feel like the blind pig with the acorn. :) . I have wanted one for years.Jim.

Congratulations. I've always like the guide guns. I really like the looks of the new 45-70 SBL. I'd rather have wood than laminate. Maybe they'll come out with one or have for all I know.

Sweet! I just got one last week myself ! Lots of fun and pretty accurate too. You will absolutely love it with factory loads :D A couple of handloads i tried that are more in tune with the rifle's capabilities though, are flinch inducing :lol: , ---------- I am likely going to defy conventional levergun tradition and put a red dot sight on mine.
