Can anyone help with the dimensions of the decapping & neck sizing insert that is used with the original winchester tong style reloading tool for a 32/20 cartridge.
I want to manufacture a replacement one as I did not get it with the tool.
Does the larger end expand the neck of the cartridge?
The main thing I need are some idea of the dimensions of the length & the various diameters
I have tried to turn one up on the lathe but I feel that something is wrong with the neck sizing dia or the overall length not including the decapping pin.
The larger diameter I used was the OD of the lead projectile.
Kind Regards from "Down Under"

Not familiar with the tool - is it the same as the "Lyman 310"? I have one of them I could measure.

Re: Tool for a 32/20 tong type reloading tool
The tool is not an adjustable style like the Lyman 301 type.
It is a small tool that fits inside the cartridge case that removes the primer & sizes the inside of the neck as the tongs are pulled together as in the 310 series tool.

This is what the Winchester plugs look like but this one is for 38-40

The recessed screw holds the pin in.
Sorry I do not have dimensions for the .32s.
