35Rem Leverevolution handlosds?

Post by Thunder50 »

All the talk of the Hornady ammo and its performance has me wondering. Has anyone disassembled the Hornady ammo and taken the bullets/brass and loaded them with your own powders to try and achieve greater performance? Is it even possible? Thanks

Thunder50, if you go to the marlinowners.com site, select the 336 forum & go to about the 11th page, you'll find a very interesting article from a poster named .35remington, regarding this stuff. The thing about these projectiles is that they have a much longer bearing surface, comparable to the Speer HotCore 220FP, which has the effect of raising pressures, so you have to be very careful, but if you read the article you'll find out. jd45

Thanks Hobie. It's on page one at Marlinowners now. I just bumped it.
