Everybody needs a friend.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

My uncle had a 3 legged pig on his ranch in North Dakota. I asked him "What's up with the 3 legged pig, Uncle Rudy?"

He said "That's a very special pig. Once, a cousin of yours fell into the pond and that pig jumped in and saved her from drowning. Another time, the house caught on fire and that pig came in and woke us up and led us out through the smoke. When I got thrown from my horse out on the back forty and busted my leg, that pig ran back to the ranch house and brought your Auntie."

"Wow", I exclaimed. "But how does that explain it being 3 legged?"

"Nephew, a pig that special you don't eat all at once"

VERY nice story, papabear. I can relate to it in a way 'cause I rescued a tiny wild porker last year. Apparently, it's clan ran off into the hills, leaving the new little piggie lying out in the open on a 100+º day. The little devil was about done when we found her, but a little TLC and baby formula perked her right up. She was adopted by a local San Benito cowboy who told me last month that she now weighs 175 lbs and is the ranch pet. :D
