3-5 of snow is the updated forecast, exactly why I say it's NOT spring until May 1st. At this rate we are going to be getting snow for the trout opener on April 9th. Poor Jay is gonna be using the snow blower until the middle of mosquito season( July)

He got a model 65-5 and a skinny barrel model 10-9.
I cleaned a little lead out of the bore on the 65 last night. The model 10 was in really nice shape. Not even much blue wear and no rust spots. Someone cared for it, cause it was carried a lot. Right grip had a lot of wear.

Supposed to go for a ride with my buddy Tuesday. Going to haul north a little. Conditions are getting a little rough here.

Geeze...I know I'm getting old......when Jays son picked up a couple of used Smiths and Jay had to go over them, I'm thinking 50-60's guns.....a 10-9? I don't even know what that is....I know it's a k frame 38 Spl.

Fred,
Your good...it's only punishment because of my ill conceived notions that you took Jay Bird......I found out the truth. Jay Bird was captured and sent to a South American jail where he gets to eat cocoa leaves all day...he is allowed to fly around the jailyard ........but I still believe you knew the story but didn't tell me for fear of losing your job.

It's only a discussion board......nothing more....there's millions of them out there where an individual with knowledge would fit right in on the first day.......and THAT is why Donald Trump could speak his mind...he needed no one and was not obligated to no one...

Your never free unless you can say what you want and go where you want.......no need to hold back nothing for "fear" of being ostracized ..........or the loss of your "job".

HEY GUNNY!!!! Bomb Cyclone coming or whatever that is......bring in the wood and tie down the dogs.

GK.....no.....you get the cover and the Jeep.....hell, it's 17 years old......since June of last year I put 327 miles on it. You ALWAYS can count on me to send you anything you want.....wish you would take me up on that...stuff you can't get there that would brighten up your day. Then you'd have bragging rights to your buds...."hey guys, look at this" and they would respond, "ah man, cool, where'd you get that as we can't get them." And you will slowly and quietly respond, " I've got connections". and walk away....---006

I wasn't aware they made DASH model 10s...?

Umm Six, the cocca plant is south america, betel nut is south asia so it wouldn't be that... all he could get in south afrika is biltong or hefalump paddies.

Well Six I knew nothing and still know nothing. My wife was concerned if you were Ok.

On the other hand I had to spend the afternoon and have dinner with Desarae. She showed me $1704 in airline vouchers for getting bumped coming back from Spokane. One layover was in Vegas she showed me a pic from a slot paying $229. Got her a job interview in Spokane with a chiro friend. She wanted me to fly back up with her for that. Alas duty called at the office.

If Desarae needs a traveling companion on my side of the pond let me know... :D

Six, I appreciate the generous offer of the Jeep, 17 years old is almost brand new compared to the 1956 Land Rover I once had...

You guys still getting snow and all I get is promises promises.... I guess I can take out the shovel in my trunk all winter.

Jay, a S&W mod 10 was on my list to buy before the UK government decided I couldn't be trusted with one.

As soon as you take the shovel out of your trunk you'll cause a Clear Up Snow!
Now 4-6 here. This is the last weekend to bird hunt, we canceled hunting tomorrow so the remainder of the birds will go out Sunday for an all out blitzkrieg before our end of season picnic.

"If I'm OK??!" You leftists would not make it in the real world. You have been ostracized .....again.....and will be excommunicated after I talk to da Father on Sunday.......I'm back on the kick of Jay Bird.......

Now, to my other right wing friends.....yessir ......a BIG one is coming tomorrow......they said you will not be able to open your car doors.......heck, #1 Jeep does not see daylight and #2 Jeep will be in da go-rage...#3 Jeep is in da barn.......

I LOVE watching leftists get their nerves all rattled when a storm or other calamity is coming.......they are lost.......and wait until Putin starts releasing tactical nukes or destroys nuclear power plants.......half of the college professors will commit suicide, the transgenders will hide and the gay people will go straight.......and it will be "about time"---- :D -----006

Got a meeting tonight....I'm expected to give a speech.....

Colt Lightning 44-40 ...if it was not for the bluing flaking on the hardened parts it would be a 90-95% gun....perfect bore ...sharp edges..perfect screws, mechanics, lettering.

Made in 1884....I remember seeing this gun when I was a teenager. VERY HIGH SERIAL NUMBER. :D it ain't no Rossi.

Did you see the helicopter video by a news crew where the police were looking for some crook? The guy hides behind a parked car in daylight and the cops ran past him a couple times. Finally the pilot of the helo gets them to listen to her and the guy just laid there on the ground. Funny but sad.

X files, never really got into that show, knowing as I do all the ' intelligent ' life out there was already here in the swamp.

Look at the picture again, see if you can decipher the other business card. Was one of Dads favorites.

I've noticed after having pancakes of waffles with syrpule I get real phlegmy, maybe I'm allergic to maple syruple?

Yes I'm quite familiar with that world famous individual although I haven't had the chance to shake his hand, Hopefully some time this spring .

Real Maple syrup TASTY :D I too love it on pancakes and also on my porridge, when I took KirkD fishing he brought me some Canadian Maple syrup so I know it's not a banned substance

The X Files was about the only sci fi I liked but the earlier series was the best in my humble opinion. I never got into Star Wars etc. prefer horse operas. :|

Jay..your friendship is all that's needed...around here, on the board, I don't have many......got lots at the gunclub and wherever else I go...never could figure that out.......for decades gunshops owners would call me up first before putting a rare gun on the shelf and I can't believe the information I tell them on other guns that I don't want is somehow "secret information."

Maybe it's because I'm not nice and I tell the truth....or maybe our board "leaders" are liberals and they know how far right I am.....
Either way.........F em all....they don't pay my bills.

Gunny...you got good eyes.......for real, I could not pick out that cardinal if my life depended on it.....we are hanging out in our "happy room" and mom points out the red bird......I says "where?"....she says to just take a picture of the holly tree. Looking out the window with my face up to it I finally saw it but not in the picture.

Oh well, such is life

Colder than heck here.... 20 outside...pushing 80 in here but a dry 80

Oh!...Oh!......my watch died yesterday after 2-3 years....most people just throw em out...cheap $40 Timex.....not me! Put in a fresh 2016 battery......my fourth or fifth one in the same watch..... :D ---00

My mom and dad have cardinals hang out all winter at their place. My dad feeds the birds every winter. Never let's the feeders get empty cause that can make it rough for em up here. My favorite are chickadees (state bird). They just seem happy all the time. They must have a bunch of old Winchesters and Colts. 😁
My wife bought me a watch for Christmas in 1999. I still wear it. I don't know how many batteries and band pins I've replaced, but it keeps good time and I keep stuff that works. I'm one of those guys that can make stuff last. Mostly because I came from people who had no choice.

"Timex?!" You sack of Pelosi.......with my lifestyle I'd be spending $500 to repair it every week.......

And Jay.....I'm with ya bro....I make things last too...only thing you have to do is learn it, then maintain it and don't wait until 17 things break on it.....,my philosophy is to buy the best I can afford then maintain it. I have not spent one penny for a washing machine for clothes in around 28-30 years since I went to wringer washers......I had to buy them and that's all I did.....was given one, bought a new one that an old lady bought in the sixties and never used it and another like new one for a $120. I still, have all three and they all work great.....oooo....oooooo...I tell a lie......had to put a $5 belt on one and fix a leak on another.

Same vehicles..same house.....same wife (changing those will break you)....educate your kids so they don't come home to live in your basement.......and buy Timex watches.

Already changed the time ahead...plus I run my watches and all clocks 5 minutes fast.

Notice the epoxied watch band? :D

Saving pennies allowed me to put out $150 for those two rare single action Colts....the 44 Russian and the unfired 45 from 1917....lucked out when I got the letter that showed the Russian belonging to John W. Hession.........tripled my money in 14 years........if I want to sell them.....

I got to admit bud, you got it figured. I never thought of using wringer washing machines. You definitely got me beat. You've done well buddy.
My issue is I always had other stuff going too. So wonder I have the guns I do haha. :D

Hey Jay.....do you know why they stopped making wringer washers? Some people say liability but if that was the case they would stop making lawn mowers......

It's because they are passed from generation to generation.

Hey...how do you like the guy where Fred got his Rolex? :D

Haha that's pretty good! :D

Yeah, it's like everything. The wringer machines lasted too long.
All appliances are designed to last between 5 and 7 years now. And most don't make it that long. They all have some little part that is designed to fail. The rest of the appliance is fine, but it is cost prohibitive to fix it, so it is just thrown away.
That mentality is catching up with this country. Lot of people are going to be in for a rude awakening.
