The 22 mag is a hunting round not a match round Ive taken bear, cougar and canines with it in pistol & rifle best distance was about 175 paces on a canine in the H/L area most canines can be head shot out to 100. 40 gr game point works well on predators & pests 40 gr solids if Iam head shooting larger animals. Havent tried the new 30 gr varmint rounds at 2200 fps though. danny
