There was a. 303 TD '95 on GB the other day, but the seller didn't answer my questions before the auction ended. The gun had a 24" bbl and I asked to see the front sight in order to determine if the barrel was original length. The 28" was standard for the .303 caliber guns, but 24" was also available. The Buy Now price was $1100 and I would've snapped it up in a heartbeat had he answered my inquiry. I have kept the name of the seller and will contact him again.

Too bad the seller was unresponsive. That would be a nice catch. His non-reply may be a good indication of the rifle's correctness.

I have an opportunity at a 30-06 TD that I have been contemplating. The serial number is 1,000 away from my 303, and also born in 1922. The only problem...my wife. She knows I can't hunt with two rifles at once :oops:
