Might have been a wee bit misleading - it was a Dodge Challenger V8 and the trails were mostly in CA and IA, no good songs about that though.

My Cape buffalo and Eland are shown above... My hunt was August 1-15, 2008, and Randy Garrett's 540 grain, Hammerhead ammo is the answer for large unpleasant critters with big teeth or sharp pointy horns.

I think I posted these two pictures before? I stumbled on the old picture last Christmas, my brother transferred a bunch of pictures on to CD that my Grandfather took, he must have owned one of the first colored cameras to be had. Then I remembered a picture my Dad took two years ago and low and behold I was standing in almost the same spot at my favorite fishing hole!

I forgot to mention that it is a good idea to bring your "snake boots" if you go to hunt Mozambique...

The crawly critters grow rather large too... I had a 'Green Mamba' ~10' in length cross in front of me - I am glad he just kept going wherever he was going.

This photo is of a "small" Python - expected to double in length and get very heavy as an adult...

Those old photos y'all are posting reminded me of one I have here on my computer. This here's a photo of my wife and I celebrating our first anniversary back on the old farm in Manitoba, 28 years ago, vaccinating the cattle for Blackleg, if I recall correctly.

Now she's not too enthusiastic about people seeing that photo, in case they think that's the way she always looks, so to somewhat make up for posting the above photo, I'd better post a more recent one of the two of us in our best Sunday-go-to-meeting clothes ....

I usually try to look relatively sane and normal in my photos, but it is awful hard!

My wife is a saint for putting up with my shenanigans all these years. Although we've had 4 boys (and 2 girls), my wife says she actually has 5 boys, since she says I never grew up.

I plan to behave myself someday, but I've put it off until I'm 90 ..... or maybe 95.
