Amen. If anything's worth doin' well, it's worth doin' slowly... And recovery is NOT something to be rushed... as said by one who's experienced more relapses due to impatience than than anyone I know!

Joe,
You wanna get active again real quick?

Just look out the window and you will see me sneaking around, waiting for you to leave so I can rush in and steal your Ruger single actions. :D

You will feel better....semi-old guys like us take a little longer to heal.----------Sixgun

Sixgun,

If you want to sneak around feel free to do so, but please don't snitch my Rugers. Those darn things are way to hard to replace. You can come over and we can to the range and shoot 'em though. I'd love that.

I've noticed the taking longer to heal. It really sucks getting old.

Joe,

Hope you are getting better, I'm younger than you, and see that I don't heal as fast anymore either!!

Joe, continued prayers offered up for you. Try not to get dehydrated since it will just prolong your recovery. While water is good, go and get some Gatoraide. It will help replenish necessary electrolytes for cellular health.

Do they have any idea how e-coli got into your circulatory system?

Unclebuck,

We discussed that very question with the Drs. One Dr said: "E-coli comes from poop". The only time I was exposed to anything like raw sewage or anything like that was about 7 weeks ago when the last of the big rains caused our basement to flood. At the same time the basement drain flow reversed and sewage was coming in. We managed to get the drain flow reverted back to normal and the basement drained, but I was down in it rescuing our things. I got very wet was exposed to what ever was coming in from the drain.
That is our theory, but all the Drs will simply say is: "Could be, maybe".

I'll add some Gatoraid to my drinking.

Ok....just to mix things up a little....Why is it that poop causes e.coli, but, you can't give it to yourself, especially if you have hemorrhoids, or a little cut on your finger??

Joe, prayers still up for a total recovery. If you're losing a ton of weight, all the better 8)

Blaine,

I have no answer to your question. Other than it kicking my butt I have really no knowledge about e-coli.

I haven't lost a ton of weight, but I have lost 20 pounds according to the scale at the Drs office yesterday.

Joe,
That explanation you gave about your basement flooding with sewage is probably the reason. Somehow it got into your system. Prayers up for a speedy and complete recovery :)
