That bridge is over by our friends camp that owns the 1200 acres. It's on a pretty rough trail. I've had to rescue him twice down in there when he got his side by side stuck.
Walt, I truly hope your wife gets to retire and you can spend more time together. That would be awesome, and I pray it comes to pass.
I went up to camp alone yesterday. My mom and dad went to the coast out to Baileys Island for some lobster and clams.
I brushed out the road from the camp first (Winchester rd.), and opened it up some near camp. Instead of just stuffing the cuttings out into the woods, I figured I'd throw it in the truck and haul it down to our brush pile behind camp. This picture is my first load. My Gladiator is under there somewhere. I had 2 more loads just like this on just the Winchester rd. Out on our main road, I didn't bother to haul it. Those brush piles are getting pretty big.

You won a page
Your photos mirror what I see my son doing when I'm walking his dog around the estate, funny to see him chainsaw in hand felling trees and clearing brush when I haven't touched a chainsaw in three years.

It's much the same with us. My dad barely touches the chainsaw. I'm not sure when that started, but it's been a few years.
Went to camp by myself yesterday. I didn't do a ton, but took the tractor up the hill on the new road. I cleaned up a little on the hill up to the fork. There were a couple rocks I wanted out. I flipped one out easy and hauled it down the road a bit and put it in a hole. The second was right at the turn off, and it was basically ledge, and not going anywhere. I trimmed the road on both sides so we could easily get around.
Then I went back to camp, put my feet up, and a cold one....well....cold two.
When I got home I put a new rear tire on the DRZ. The one on it was getting pretty burnt.

A well deserved couple of cold ones by the look of Winchester road, Speaking of Winchester I have just bought a Winchester 37a in 20 gauge, haven't got it yet but its described as immaculate. I had one when I was gamekeeping and loved it but life as truck gun took its toll, one day it jumped out of my land rover and landed in a snowdrift where it lay for a couple of days so eventually I passed it on to my brother in law to teach his stepson to shoot. These shotguns were made in Canada after Winchester bought Cooey and production stopped in 1979.
Great news, my friend! I'm really glad for you. Those old 37s are very well thought of here, and quite pricey for a single shot shotgun. Oddly enough, I've never owned one. I use single shots a fair amount when I road hunt birds in the Jeep. As you mentioned, however, they see hard use in vehicles. Probably not something I'd want to subject a nice 37 to.
Make sure and post more pics when you get it home.
Congratulations on a great find.

Jay I may have to wait until Saturday but it will be ready to pickup Wednesday, just doing a little investigating about it and apparently James Arness "Matt Dillon" used one on his ranch so I guess I ought to call it Miss Kitty
My ex wife is here at the moment visiting our son for his birthday so I'm keeping a very low profile....
Blowing a hooley up here last couple of days temperatures around 60f.

Well if Matt Dillon used one......that's all the info you need!
Oh, oh! The X? I'd leave town if mine was around. The next state is still too close for me.
