rifle t/d

I have a Marlin 1893 take down rifle. After moving the t/d lever, what next? Can't get it apart.

don't know about Marlins but have 2 winchesters. Lever open, unscrew take-down lever, then turn 1/4/ turn on them.

The end of the magazine tube should have a latch. Depress the latch, pull the magazine tube forward until it stops, and then unscrew the barrel assembly from the receiver ( full right-hand thread). Hope this helps.

Make sure you open the action before you unscrew the barrel.
