The Marlin 1894, 357 is back...

This is what I've been waiting for. Ruger/Marlin has the 1894, 38 Spl/357 mag levergun on its website. Near as I can tell, pretty much the same specs & dimensions as before.

I just looked at the Ruger site, didn't see this listed.
However I saw the serial number look-up and checked my 44 carbine, not in the data bank. I got it used but always wondered when it was made...

My little Remlin 357 Mag threaded carbine (1894 CST) is probably the most versatile and practical levergun I've ever had. I did adulterate it with a Ranger Point Precision forend, and later even their buttstock, because I've also got a pristine blued steel and walnut 1894 C in 357 that is 'factory' other than the Williams FP sight. The CST is more 'practical' than 'tactical' but definitely I wanted it set up for MY use.

I have one as well and completely agree. The little .357 is just a super, all purpose carbine. I can load a heavy bullet with a light powder charge and get away with shooting it in the backyard w/o making any more noise than my nail gun. It's going to be even more fun when i get my suppressor stamp.

I'm hoping that when Ruger/ Marlin get caught up with demand, that they start making models like this. I would really love to have one in .44 magnum. I have a 94P but really don't want to alter it, even though I'm not not wild about the ported barrel.

I have a 1982 JM model. It's the one year where Marlin went back to the blue trigger.
Its lightweight, handy and shoots 357 & 38 spl. just fine!
Although I prefer my 1894 in 44 mags!
