I am thinking about going into the prophecy business.

I believe I can get it pretty correct if I prophesy "HOT AND DRY!"

Our property is drying out and cracking. No rain for quite a long time. Cracks developing in the yard as the ground dries out.

I shoved a stick in one crack ..

It went this deep.

Some are quite a bit deeper.

This is all pretty normal for this area. Lots of clay in the soil. Only 104 here today.

Sounds like dry season in Panama. I'm not sure what was worse....90 and 100% or 100 and 90%.....and my 73 F250 didn't have air.

Got to 108 here today, Jim. Let her cool to 105 before taking my evening walk.
We'd prolly have cracking but the squills are still burying nuts and the cicada holes are also relieving the tectonic stresses.

It got up to 94° here today but the best part is that it goes down to the middle 60s at night. Elevation is just under 7,000'.

I’ll give ya $10 for the shoes…..9W?

We had a dry spring but it’s been raining like crazy for the last 2 months……I can’t go more than 4 days, 5 tops, between grass cuttings.

We had some hot weather. It was in the high 80s. We've had a ton of rain so it felt miserable. Its 63 right now, and was 45 the other morning.
I've never seen the ground crack. Unless it was a dried up mudhole.

Don’t blame you….broken in boots are worth more than new ones….

That cracking sure is something…funny how it’s circular

1 Kings 18:41-46 NASBS
[41] Now Elijah said to Ahab, "Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of the roar of a heavy shower." [42] So Ahab went up to eat and drink. But Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he crouched down on the earth and put his face between his knees. [43] He said to his servant, "Go up now, look toward the sea." So he went up and looked and said, "There is nothing." And he said, "Go back" seven times. [44] It came about at the seventh time, that he said, "Behold, a cloud as small as a man's hand is coming up from the sea." And he said, "Go up, say to Ahab, 'Prepare your chariot and go down, so that the heavy shower does not stop you.'" [45] In a little while the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy shower. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel. [46] Then the hand of the LORD was on Elijah, and he girded up his loins and outran Ahab to Jezreel.
