Oh man (and wow...), and thanks for the heads-up (as I'm not on FB).

I've had the pleasure of meeting Gunny 2 times -- the 1st when he was living at Camp Pendleton and he gave me a personal tour of the base after which we had an Irish dinner with his wonderful family on St Patty's Day. I got to see the "Project Sword" that a bunch of us here had contributed to buying for him during that visit. He was working at Bass Pro the second time I saw him.

I'll keep this post updated if I hear anything else from him.

Could have been worse, although broken ribs and pelvis cannot be fun. Prayers continue.

I connected with Jeremy today via text and he says hello to the gang and thanks for the good thoughts. Gunny said he'll need a few months to heal up and "other than a baker's dozen of broken bones, all is well". :o

Hello all:

I happened to see an Ithaca single-shot lever-action (Martini system) 22 rifle at a gun shop the other day, and I thought about our friend Jeremy, aka Gunny, aka JReed, as I'd given one each to his 2 sons years ago (Levergun #1 posting (click for link) and Levergun #2 posting (click for link)) and I wondered how he was doing lately. So, I checked in with him via text and he says the healing came along pretty well following his motorbike accident last summer -- saying that we're just not as young as we all used to be. Ain't that the truth.

Anyway, he says hello to all.

Cheers.

I have missed his posts, I thought when he retired from the Marines he would post more often, I wish him well and I'm glad he has recovered from that motorbike crash.
