cars are killing 20+ people EVERY DAY !!
The indisputable mass casualty killing machine? Abortions !
About 930,160 legally induced abortions are provided annually in the U.S.

the entire "gun control" palaver is simply a distraction to keep the peons from demanding "automobile control" and "baby murder control" ..., and to disarm the peons before we catch on . . .

Alcohol related deaths per year on the US runs between 95,000 and 1.15 million. Approx. three million worldwide.
That's one statistic they like to leave out of their argument.
Then add in prescription ODs and illegal drugs that seems to fluctuate daily.
There's a whole lot more things out there that are more likely going to get you than a lunatic with a gun.

Yep.
They lie all the time.
Read section XIII of Don Kates' law review journal article to see just how bad even the 'medical' literature is...
https://guncite.com/journals/tennmed.html
Print this and highlight section XIII or others and put it in waiting rooms, slip it into 'gun control's books at the libraries (had all my kids do it in the school libraries too, so anyone doing a 'report' on the topic would be sure to see both sides).
Email the link to politicians. To educate the bad ones AND to provide the good ones with credible (from a LIBERAL ACLU criminologist, printed in a law review journal, and 1/3 references and citations) info to defend their position.

"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

while this is true, it's a different category from violent death inflicted on someone... babies don't elect to be murdered. pedestrians don't usually choose to be run over, although some do..... alcoholics choose to drink, i know, ib1.....2ndovc wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 2:08 pm Alcohol related deaths per year on the US runs between 95,000 and 1.15 million. I have no quarrel with fentanyl, people choose to do it, the cartels don't shoot people with fentanyl bullets, it does not even qualify as a violent death, does it?
you're right, there are lots of ways to go, but some of them involve our choices, which is another topic...

Re: speaking of mass casualties . . .
If it was really about saving lives, guns would be so far down the list we'd never get to them in this country. Especially if you just take out the top 10 counties for murder; then the US's rate is literally at the bottom of the list worldwide.
But it is all about power, and an armed citizenry is a free one. The left can't tolerate that...

It`s all part of the evil plan boys, next will be the deception of aliens and the masses will flock too which will further eliminate the truth about God which will bring in the Antichrist who will claim to be god.
Lies and deception, the way of the world right now, get ready by excepting Christ now and know the truth.

A study conducted by the Consumer Affairs Agency estimates that around 19,000 people lose their lives every year in accidents while bathing.
Should we ban bathing, or bathtubs? Should we require bathing classes, and bathing licenses?

Good questions. I propose mandatory NFL-grade helmets and super-padded-no-slip bathtubs be mandated for all new construction, retroactive to 1910.Ji in Hawaii wrote: ↑Sun Jul 02, 2023 8:28 am A study conducted by the Consumer Affairs Agency estimates that around 19,000 people lose their lives every year in accidents while bathing.
