Still here.
Went up to camp yesterday. Started finishing up the inside work I have left. Trimming around the windows and the door. Have another set of bunks to build too.
I want to finish that stuff up while I can't do anything else. Still too early to get in the woods with much of anything.

Being productive and having fun in a perfect setting, what's not to like :?:

I find it difficult to get enthusiastic about anything at the moment, I take a walk up to the ridge line now and then, apparently King Charles the first made his escape along the ridge after the battle of Worcester.
Waiting now to see if the police renew my shotgun certificate so I can make plans on spending some money...💰💰💰

My old friend that ran the gun shop has a Colt he is going to sell. He has a nice short barreled Peacemaker. 22 that I'm hoping is the one. I have to get up and see him next week.

I think it’s stupid….who wants that power in a Jeep? …. It’s like passing gas in a tiny closet instead of a windstorm.

But…..it’s his money and his insurance bill…….. my bud never did show up with the Colts………but he closes early on Sundays so maybe tomorrow….

Haha yeah. I've never been a big fan of a V8 in a Jeep. I've driven them plenty, and know a lot of guys with them. They either are always breaking stuff, or end up with a short wheelbase one ton.
Hey, I wheeled a 4 banger Jeep for many years. I'm not one to run 40" tires or do a lot of mud bogging, so it isn't a big deal with the wheeling I do.

Kristy thought your packge may have showed up today. Not sure if it did, I don't have the tracking number on me.

Ok….package? My Colts are coming back home? I’ll get the the p.o. On Monday….thank you guys :D in advance…….

Yea…ill take that straight six every time…..the v-6’s have more power but for what? Going to the supermarket……the V6’s use oil…moms goes through a quart between 1,500 changes….mine uses nothing..300 miles each way at 3K rpm’s …nothing….

Well bro….how about those whiners on the joke I wrote about the 2 guys on the corner and the dog? You believe that stuff…..60-70 year old miserable unhappy and disenchanted liberal people.

They ought to join that bud light trans individual in support……even that one guy who whines about Ukraine…maybe he ought to go there and help out in the fighting but noooooo…..he will donate $25 to the cause and stay here in the safe states….. :D

Enough of that trivia, back to my battery, never mind I won’t bore you with the tale about who doesn’t carry batteries for a 2014 Jeep Patriot. What $295 for a battery - no, Walmart $159 plus $15 for a new Rand McNally to update that 1975.

I used to buy Rolling Rock when it was imported from the US but then like other American beers they started brewing them over here :(

What happened to the two guys on the corner with the dog?

You guys have a lot more interesting vehicles over there, half of them wouldn't fit on the narrow country roads here.

Well I've gone cold Turkey without shooting irons for a week but unlike some exsmokers I haven't joined the anti brigade and I'm looking forward to polluting the environment with lead again soon....

Sorry boys. I got busy. Now THAT don't happen very often.
I missed the joke I guess. Musta been on the other page. Where they barely tolerate us.

Hey GK,
Do they import the Canadian beers still, or do they brew that there too?
Give Moosehead a try. Especially the Pale Ale if you can get it. We can't get it here and I have to go to to Canada for the Pale Ale. We only get the Canadian Lager, which is excellent too.

Back to that Jeep Patriot 2.0L, 250 mi trip on the freeway up and down 3,000 feet, speeds of 0-85 mph, maybe 25 miles of a crawl speed through LA traffic, the battery search where it idled while I waited in line to investigate battery prices ($159-295) and some around town with the lights - 27.5 mpg overall.

Oh well......
My last night for the week. Can't wait for morning to get outta here. Got tons to do, but the weather isn't going to cooperate.
Fiddleheads are usually up around the second week of May, but I think they might be early this year. Dad ran the outboards last week. The Merc needs a tank fuel line. Only been on there since '77. Nothing lasts! :D

Yea Harry…they can kiss the chocolate starfish!

Oh man, did I have some fun tonight…..my bud dropped off the 1880 Colt SAA Cavarly….all numbers match, has the usual pitting but all sharp lettering……cylinders a bit loose but I think it’s the bolt spring. Loading notch is either filled up with junk or is broken. I’ll rip it apart tomorrow…..well, dunno about ripping it apart as a half dozen screws will make it bare bones….

My bud only got 40G’s for the transferable Lewis gun and it was complete in the wooden crate, extra ammo drums, each in their own little wooden box, with a big bright Savage label on the box…….he said everyone wants M-16’s and Uzi’s……

Well, here’s that cavalry Colt…very rare to have all numbers match. The unfired one with the Kopek letter is back in the safe as he saw no reason to bring it out in the rainstorm we’ve been experiencing the last 3 days.

Overall, it’s a nice gun and the only thing I can find wrong with it is that some of the screws have been “dressed up”.

My bud says, “hey! Let’s take the Navy 1919 in 308 upstate …..got 4,000 rounds all linked and ready to rock and roll” Sounds like a plan

I’m gonna shoot it tomorrow.

Cool bud! I've only seen one cavalry that i could handle, and it was rough. Unmolested, but rough. That sounds like a big ole time with the1919. I'd liked to have seen that Lewis. Those are really neat.

Funny thing….I asked my bud, “Can I have it?” He said, “I don’t care, you already got most of my guns.” Well, I said that Jay took most of those and I need to rebuild…….he said, “who the f. Is Jay?” I said, “my protege”……..He says, “is he a white guy?” I said, “sure.” So he said I can have it after I pass him 6 big ones……..I said, “will you buy it back in six months for 10g?”………he said he will get it back for nothing as he knows a guy with a buffalo coat.

So…..you figure it out…sounds like a lose lose for me.—-00

Haha ok, ok.
Now I gotta tell ya buddy....normally, I don't let that coat out of my sight. It's mostly for the safety of others. A power like that is a huge responsibility. That's why one would wonder why I have it. :D
While it's been suggested that I rent it out, and that certainly would be lucrative, I would most certainly loan it to you old friend. I know you'd only use it for good.....a fine English gentleman such as yourself. :D
I'll box it up this afternoon. When you're done with it, just send it on back good sir! :D

The “Coat” will only work on Jay………..on anyone else it’s just an item dropped off in the Good Will box……same thing with a Superman or Spider-Man costume……..when Jay puts it on the “Coat” it becomes energized….the hairs stand out, some will sparkle, the pockets grow in length and thickness….extra pockets appear magically and at Jay’s will the “Coat” will vaporize along with Jay …and the contents……and will reappear hundreds of miles away, usually at a pawn shop…..

Wow! I never had super powers before!

Well, I got the gun rack mounted on the bike. Think it'll work slick. We have used these "Pack Rack" gun racks for decades on 4 wheelers or whatever. They are simple, unobtrusive, easily and quickly removed, and work great.

Can’t even watch the news in peace. Those deer knew not to cross the red brick road.

Now, on to business…I know how particular you are JAY…but these will hold a rifle tighter than you can pull it out, depending on how far you push the rifle in…….you can even bend the “U” for tighter grip…..but I know, your choice is better….:D

Haha no. I know I come off as a douche over stuff like this. :D
It's not that my way is better, it's just what I know and have adapted or adapted myself to work for me.
Mostly, with these racks, we used them bird hunting off 4 wheelers with single shot shotguns. We liked them because we could adjust them to not hold the gun tight. That way we could get it into action real quick.
