Thank you all for the good wishes. I turned 72 and it was easily my worst birthday ever. A couple days after Thanksgiving I had my umbilical hernia blow out, forcing me to undergo emergency surgery. They removed 32" of my small intestine and literally saved my life, but I have been very sick and unable to eat much. I've lost 15 lbs. in a week!
I don't want to wish my life away, but I will be glad to get the year 2022 behind me. I lost my older brother in August, lost my daughter in September, then lost my younger brother in October. Never had so much bad luck in such a short time.
