Northern Precision Bullets

Post by GunnyMack »

I saw an ad for Bill Noody's NP Bullets so I looked at his website and filled out his CONTACT form. Not an hour later he called me.
I had asked if anyone has tried his bullets with sabots in muzzle loaders.
When he called he said he would send me a few sample packs for me to try before ordering.
Mr Noody seems like a down to earth guy, a guy you don't run across every day.
I hope my muzzle loader likes his bullets!
Anyone here try his bullets?

Yes, back in February, I have bought a few 35 cal. bullets particularly the 280gr. jacketed soft nose I want to use in my Ruger #1. He also, gave me a sample pack to try out. A buddy of mine tried some out of his 350 RemMag and they were quite accurate. He's very knowledgeable and quick turnaround.

Oh and he also mentioned he is working on a 6.5 bullet, both bonded & unbonded.

Looks like good quality stuff. Wish he would catalog his actual offerings on his site, or is it a made to order business?

Its more of a made to order thing.
Yeah his website is kind of strange, lots of back and forth to actually see the bullets.

Those Saber tips are what he said he is sending, looks like quite the bullet for energy transfer.
I like a bullet to use up energy in an animal. I shot a few deer with Remington 180s from a muzzle loader and most dropped on the spot, XTPs just go through and the deer run off before expiring... They NEVER run towards the truck! I used a 300gr XTP on a huge hog , went in .429 and maybe came out at 5/8" , out of my Ruger carbine at 15 yards it should have been at close to max velocity.
