I bought some .45 Cowboy Special brass from Starline recently and loaded a few different rounds this morning. Bullet selection was kind of random, just a few of each in almost empty boxes except the 200 gr LPF that has performed well in my other .45s.
I have two sets of .45 dies on tool heads for my Dillon, one Dillon set that I use for .45 ACP and one Hornady set I have for the .45 Colt.
Since the Dillon expands with the powder die, I had a spare expander die from the Hornady set that I put in my old Hollywood single stage press and left the others in the Dillon. Sized and primed with the Dillon, move the case to the single stage to expand. Powder via the RCBS electric and back to the Dillon to seat and crimp the bullets. Two of the bullets are .45 Auto style so those got a good taper crimp. The 200 LFP has a good crimp groove and got a solid roll crimp.
Sounds tedious, but wasn't all that bad. Something to do on a snowy day.
Right to left;
.45 ACP, .45 Auto Rim, .45 CS w/ 185 gr Berry's Plated FP, .45 CS w/ 230 gr. TC, .45 CS w/ 200 gr LFP and a good old .45 Colt.
All over 5 grains of Bullseye.

I'm going to try and hit an indoor range this week, as much as I'd rather shoot outdoors but we got another 6" of snow today.
