R.J. Renner Gunsmith

Post by Mainehunter »

Just curious to know has anyone delt with Mr. Renner for any gunsmithing work? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on my custom Ruger #1 receiver that I picked up a year or so ago. Have spoken to him several times now and he seems pretty knowledgeable on the Ruger's. Any input would be appreciated!

He is a legend in the underhammer world. I once owned one of his Pacific Zephyrs and it was so elegant it should have been on display at the Met.

Bill, that looks drop dead gorgeous! Roger and I are finalizing the work on my Ruger #1 "English Stalking" rifle he's building. It was a tough decision on what caliber to choose but I've settled on the 35 Whelen. Looking forward on when it arrives!

If you are willing to share his contact info, I'd like to run a project idea by him. Thank you!

Mainehunter, I am sure you will be more than pleased with Roger's work -- and so will your heirs! 8)
