Quick question:
I have a Winchester Model 71 Deluxe made in 1941
Is the magazine tube threaded or just pressed in?
I want to remove the forend wood and the tube doesn't pull out, it won't budge and I don't want to force it and screw it up.

Get a brass rod that's the same diameter as the holes in the end of the tube and gently rock it back and forth.....make sure the rod goes through both holes......heat the front of the receiver up using common sense.....heat gun on low or even a hair dryer....common sense....protect the wood as you won't hurt the blue. Congealed oil will bind em up...
