For years I was too much of a fatso to wear an IWB holster with any sort of comfort. After losing about 70 pounds, and have been able to keep most of it off, I decided to try another one. I've gone through several holsters for the 1911/ Commander and haven't found one that concealed it as well as this new one I bought for my Commander. I've had it on all day, it fits good and just about disappears under a sweatshirt.
Big fan of the people at SR!

Very nice - Rob's come a long way. Here's my all day everyday carry rig for the better part of a decade. Hand sewn. Purchased when Rob was still in Idaho (before he moved to Alaska).
Rob is a wonderful guy and I love his gear. Been wearing one of his belts for almost 15 years now and have 9 of his holsters. I've tried others but always come back to Simply Rugged.
I wear a Colt LW Commander a lot. I have had great luck with the Milt Sparks SS for it and my 5" Government Model. However, that looks like an extremely comfortable setup.
"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.
Tomorrow will be a good test. I'll be on the road most of the day and in/out of the truck. That's the part that's always caused a problem for me. Riding all day with a large auto jabbing me in the side. I wore it around the house all day with a lot of time in front of the computer writing estimates. Almost forgot it was there. Buying a good, heavy belt to go with it helps as well.
By the way, love that .44 and the well worn holster!

Lost 63 pounds 6 years ago. Gained a bit of it back (~10 lbs) over the last two years, probably a combination of being home so much and age. Nice to be able to comfortably be able to wear... anything!
