Squirrels that eat lead are the best! I normally leave them alone until I see 8 or more under the bird feeder then its open season. Their litters get too big when a steady supply of sunflower seeds is always available.

I lied.....she said it was nice and especially liked the handles......for real.

Now, what's wit dis Ebonics yo talkin'? I's doe u'stand dat da ways yo talk....you know what I'm saying? Sheeeeeeeeet bro.

On a serious note I despise it when people write shorthand....like "u take 2 soft-stuffs"....or when they butcher our language.

I speak and spell the Kings English...no other b.s....and YES...b s is the Kings English....there are bulls and the other word comes from when manure was being shipped on a ship in the old days. In the beginning fires would start if the manure was low in the hold due to spontaneous combustion so it was decreed that all manure was to be "shipped high in transit" or s.h.i.t. That's what I read as I was born in 1954 and was not around in the 1600's.-----did you ever hear that?---00

Anal humor is the funniest......I don't know anyone who does not laugh at a "fast opening and release of gas".....except my dad.....the year was about 1962......I was about 6 or 8, very young.......the entire family was at my grandmothers at Christmas at a time when the youngsters had to eat at a separate table in the next room. Must have been thirty people there.... We heard a very loud release of gas in the next room and then I heard my dad go, "whoops". No one laughed but I did 40 years later when I brought it up to my dad. He told me he tried to let it slip out and it went BOOM!. :D

I still remember that clear as daylight......another time me and my dad were walking up to a house where we had our hunting/vacation cabin meetings....just as I was ready to knock on the door my dad said, "wait a minute". He let one out that lasted 30 seconds. I was laughing so hard I was crying. When the man's wife opened the door to let us in she winced and said, "what stinks?" I started laughing all over again...... :D ---009

Here's what Meghan Kelly thinks about passing gas.

When you say "new" do you mean newly purchased or new guns. I have not bought any gun in about 2 years...it's a record. In fact I have not done much of anything in two years with this Covid thing. Just me and mom doing day tripping and hanging out at home with our furry family, which is what we both prefer.

As far as new guns are concerned my newest gun is probably the BAR bought back in 15...they are going for 8-10 now..I paid 4.

Good night Fred....it's almost 3 Gunny will,be on in another hour.....till tomorrow my compadre.---006

Naw, I haven't bought anything new in the past couple years either. Last thing I picked up was that Perazzi Comp1. The bottom barrel was burst, had to get another set of barrels, fit them. Next is new wood if I can ever get some time to run up to Utica.

Huh, still no Tom?

Well, for me, it's obviously that new Colt SAA. I can't recall the last new gun.
I kind of got a new one yesterday. My son and DIL told us the name of our new grandson coming in January.
Colt! How cool is that?
So, I pulled out an unfired Detective Special I've had for about 20 years and decided to start carrying it. I gave my last snubbie to my dad about 10 years ago. Haven't carried one since. My wife has 2 J-frames. It's ALL she carries.

Whoa...whoa.....whoa........My most excellent faithful friend's son & DIL is naming their incoming "COLT"....I love it and am dancing up a storm........remember that old TV show...can't remember the name but Lee Majors was the star....some kind of a stuntman........his name was Colt and at the time I thought that was the coolest name ever....

Jay...you tell that boy of yours he is gonna have some kind of a prize coming in the future........tell you what, help me out a bit....give him a nice single action Colt from the "group" you left here with.

I really wish that would end.....but I did start it......I'd let any of you guys to live in my gunroom and would not worry about nuttin'.

Yes, Fred....I'd have to say the BAR was the last NEW gun I bought. You,know how we all protect our assets in a legal way? Well, I have a box with 4-500, probably more, of receipts of guns I have bought......in my shorty AR, I even carry the paperwork that came with it denoting it as a handgun in case some azzhole cop says it's a short barreled rifle.

Curious GK.......on muzzleloaders.......I could be content with them......you seem to "have it down" pretty well. Is it a major p.i.t.a. to buy BP? Like, what are the restrictions...only so many in a year?

Hey, got to go.....and mess with JimT......he is salvaging primers from dented cases......---006

Thanks old buddy. Yeah, we are pretty tickled. Haha my wife thought 9f that show too! Fall Guy was the name of it. He was a stunt man. I liked the sweet Chevy K20 he had. Matter of fact, I think he kept a nickeled Colt SAA in the glovebox. :D

Six, buying Black Powder in the UK you need two licenses and a special box to keep it in, Pyrodex has no real restriction on buying or storing.
Just got notification that all renewals of firearm licenses must now have a Doctor's assessment of your mental and physical health which we must pay for. Some police forces are refusing to issue new licenses and are revoking licenses without giving a reason. Replica muzzleloading guns are restricted like modern weapons as are antique guns that are actually used and not just kept as wall hangers.
Something went seriously wrong with the British public after WW2 , they kicked out Churchill and voted for socialism the start of a slide downhill that continues today no matter which political party is in power.
Snowflakes and WOKE celebrities are the heroes and role models that the Brits follow now....

Thank you GK....I was always baffled why Churchill was not rewarded for his excellent leadership like Eisenhower was...I've read a lot about Churchill and he was a true leader. I've always liked his famous saying, "to be a conservative when your young means you have no heart but to be a liberal when your old means you have no brains."

I'm afraid we will follow in the footsteps of Europe as my generation and my children's generation die out. The only thing saving us right now is the darkies making life unlivable in the cities with their savagery, ruthlessness, and their adversion to better themselves and their communities....it's just a small percentage of them, but enough to make the first 10 minutes of the news and a constant reminder to the law abiding folk to keep their guard up.

Sitting here in the dark, no TV, no noise, just us and our furry friends....to us, it don't get no better....(but I'd LOVE to have a drink)-----006 a.k.a. Mr. Colt ...dang, I like that name.

Gunny....may I correct you and Captain Jay? I believe Colt Seavers trucks were GMC's.

Nice cookies Gunny........yea bud...I agree.....nasty cold rainy weather is not conductive to a a happy attitude...at least not to me.

I don't like chocolate so when you send me some I'll take the trees with the jimmies on em...OK?

If your bored, like I am right now, one of the best ways to pass time is watch videos on you tube of WW2 soldiers fighting the japs....I just watched this one when a Marine Raider was on Okinawa and it was nighttime....a flare went up and he said a line of Japs were maybe 30-40 yards ahead of him. "Well, he said, I had a BAR and killed them all." "Then I walked up and one was alive and he shot a flare gun at me and it went right over my head." "Well, he continues, a burst from the BAR took care of him too."

The phone just rang, I answered, (for real) and some Chinese woman wanted my info to change my health insurance. I talked very nicely and acted confused, saying, "are you looking for Yat-se-sun?" She said, "no, I'm looking for John" and I said, "john not here, you want to talk to Yat-se-sun?" She said, "no, no, I want to talk to John" .......and then I said, "john not here but you can talk to Yat-se-sun but first I have to call him from the rice paddy, monsoon getting ready to hit and he need to plant rice....we are out of rice and eat our dogs." ......She hung up. :D

Mom was laughing like crazy......she likes to tell the Arabs to go f. a goat and to marry a camel.----006

View from inside a ground blind. I went and got my muzzle loader tag after making cookies. Oh, no chocolate in those ginger snaps, molasses gives them the color of chocolate. No ya cant have trees, they are all mine! Ok,ok you can have the over cooked ones, Christmas spirit and all.

My favorite to do to the telemarketers is to talk to them long enough to get to a bathroom and ask them to hold as I flush the terlit. They usually hang up. Or ill let them talk as I push buttons, tends to pizzemoff.

Sorry you got washed out Gunny.
We got snow coming tonight. Not a lot. Five inches or so. Just a pain for me on the weekend.
Hey, I know! The blower is right in the garage all gassed up. Why don't one of you boys come up and clean my driveway before I get home in the morning? I get home at 7:30, so if it was done by then, that'd be great. :D

Im not big on sweets, but molasses cookies are my favorite. Plain donuts. I like basic stuff. My wife likes all the gooey stuff and toppings. Not me.
Now, for dinner, I'm having some basic deer steak, baked potato, and green beans.

They called me and my buddy into a meeting last night. They are going to leave us on the weekend shift. We were relieved, cause it's the only way we are going to make another 6 years in that dump. However, we NEVER would let them know that. We said "whatever". "Leave us or put us back during the week. Don't matter."
Never let them think they have something on you or are doing you a favor. It's a sweet gig. My bud and I are the only 2 guys in the place on weekend nights. Nobody oversees us, no meetings, no BS, lots of time off.
Another bud that went to tech school with us retired last week. Happy for him. There ain't many of our old bunch left. I want out so bad I can taste it. :D
What's weird is my son only has 8 years till retirement. He'll be 37. He will do something else, but still....

Ok, im on my way, ill clean up your driveway but im driving up in the Ranger, I won't charge ya for plowing but the gas bill for the round trip might mean ya gotta work another year :o !

Remember this for next deer season - if ya want to kill a deer ya gotta eat dunkin doughnuts blueberry cake doughnuts. Works every time!

Actually we probably could have hunted birds this morning, didn't rain as hard as we thought it would. Oh well I got 2/3s of the cookies made, toll house tomorrow afternoon.

Great now im hungry!

Years ago, I seriously considered putting a plow on Old Red. Problem is, my dooryard just isn't set up well to plow.
Plus, we do a lot of paths and things between the 2 houses. A blower just works better here. Dad's place is even worse for plowing.

I use a snow blower for the dogs. I used to do my driveway with it but it took 2 hours or more! Driveway is 480 feet long ! Now im 20 minutes or less with the plow. Actually the time it used to take i can just about have all the neighbors driveways plowed too.

I wonder how long it would take/ how much gas to go from here to there in the Mighty Ranger...

I can have my driveway done in a half hour tops. Double that for all the other places I clean out.
I think it would greatly depend on your speed. Pro ably less gas than you think.

9 gallon tank, i better bring at least a 6 gallon
can as backup, approximately 8 hours at highway speed, 40 is about top speed so I figure 14 hours maybe. Not that I'd want to do 40 in that thing for that long, I'd be deaf !

Haha yeah. I'm thinking it'd be a long ride buddy.
Kinda like when I used to drive Old Red back and forth to work. It was some cold in the winter. If it was raining, you'd get a lap full of water when you pulled off on an exit ramp. That was with the hard top! The soft top was all full of holes and patched with iron on patches. Didn't leak a drop. :D It was taching about 2800rpm on the interstate and gave lots of vibes from the front driveshaft. The mirror was a blur. That was in about 2009. I just rebuilt that driveshaft thus past summer.
That's Old Red....

Well I saw the smallest spike ever this evening. I could tell it was a buck at 60 yds by eye, had to put the binoculars on him to see that the spikes were small. Not until he was about 30 yards did i see they looked like maybe 1 &1/2" , went from base to pointy tips, looked like 2 white Hersey kisses!
My buddy shot real wide fork horn tonight at dark. He has 1 good eye that is color blind, ground is wet from the rain so I had to go help find it. I smelled the deer about 30 yards before we saw it.
My 88 never saw highway while I had it but I was getting good at changing ujoints on the rear as it liked to drop the rear pole, that Peugeot trans was JUNK!

The swap to the AX5 and AX15 was a wise move by Jeep.

Man! You guys are yapping away! Can I join in or do I have to take a number?

Great attitude Jay...never let those bast£%# know nothing...do your job and go home...we discussed that last week...screw em...in the old days there was honor and good guys who did their job got occasional perks.....now,it's the bum who gets the perks..

Yea Gunny......YJ's eat up U joints...I drive home two times on the front driveshaft and when I got home I was minus transfer case oil. Never got no warning...just BANG!....with the shaft slamming on the floorboard....

Snowblower does a much neater job. The one I used to have had a big motor, self propelled and would walk through 2' of snow like nuttin'. Now I have the mighty Kubota with the loader and I don't even bother anymore......what for? I prefer to stay home and I have Jeeps if I need to get out.....plus, it keeps people from stopping over or louey looking..... I can keep enough wood in the house for near two weeks.....small house=easy to heat.

I used to make paths all over the back and around the house for the dogs to run around.....maybe I'll buy another self propelled one or maybe I'll just buy a mega one to fit on the Kubota......stock market is giving me a lot of free money......

In the South of England we only need a snow shovel... but where I used to live if you didn't have a Landover/Jeep type of vehicle you couldn't go anywhere.

Jack you say you have a small house but if I could put two weeks supply of firewood in my abode I'd have to stay outside...
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.

I've always liked to drive 'lights', like I'm in a 1/4mile dragster. That was when I'd pop u joints. Actually I found a Borg Warner 5 speed & transfer from a local guy. Did the swap , including having to make new cross members. The Pigjet went with the jeep when I sold it.

I get my whole winter worth of heat in the basement each year. :D

OK "Chairmen" ...if we are all Chairmen.....then I want to known as "Chairman Putin".......now, go on...who wants to be Chairman Mao?

We use an airtight woodstove and a small circulating fan at the other end of the house. The below picture shows enough wood to heat the house for a full week easily.....in the dead of winter. .....4 cords a year ------006
