Excited female- Chapter II

Post by MissKitty »

8) ...It has been another one of those days...well I guess it really has been another memorable week in my life!!!!
Once again Dwight has placed another object in my hands that I just LOVE!!!!!!!
I think he had thrown out the question to ya'll about your idea of me being about to handle it and how useful it would be, and how it would make a perfect mate with what I already had....
This wonderful man has added another thriller to my life....I now own a Ruger Bearcat!!!!!!...oh it is so pretty and fits right into my little left hand..lol...It is the first revolver I have ever owned....He is teaching me just the right way to use it...I LIKE this!!!!...
I guess I am rather childish when it comes to shooting in a fashion....had to get me to a "stopping point"...I ran 12 rounds threw it...Gosh why does ammo have to cost so much??? 8)
Then he bought out his other big pistol he bought today...He is so protective and wanted to make sure I held on tightly because it would kick...I followed his instructions and WOW!!!!!!....I could hit what I aimed at with that baby!!!!!....Kicking was no problem due to the way he showed my how to hold it.... Again just 6 shoots was not enough to stop my eagerness, So with a "pretty please"...and a little sweet grin (southeast Texas gal style) 8) ...he let me load her again....This time I really let that target have it....Got to round us up something else to shoot at..lol...
He has posted a picture of my lever on the other thread...now to get one of my "new little baby"....What a beautiful pair together!!!!
Also I am going to pass along this info....On last Friday the guns became "legally" OURS... :)
So I am now one happily married lady that loves guns and loves to shoot...and has a man that sees to it that desire is filled to the "max"...
(I like his big pistol too...)-MissKitty

I am glad you are so excited!!!

It is cool when the boys let us join in their games. My Scott like it when we go to the range. He just hates it when I can outshoot him with his own guns! :D

Now for the pictures????

:D Oh CindyLea...I am so glad to meet you!!!!!...So, I am not so strange...there is another female that likes guns and shooting also!!!!
Most of my females friends just laugh and shake their heads when I talk about popping off a full 10 round mag...Most of them just never had the chance to handle guns more the less actually shoot them...MissKitty

Not so strange?? I have never been accused of being normal!

Most ladies around my area give me the weird looks too!

I have one Winchester 94 AE (the newer ones with the angle eject and the tang safety), and another (of mid 70's vintage) on the way. I also have a handfull of revolvers in the closet. I try to get out to the range anytime I can. Playing chauffer to 4 kids has creeped into my range time. LOL

Heck, maybe you ought to ask your man to sponsor the next ladies night out??? Have all your friends show up with a garbage bag of soda cans?? Sounds like great fun to me!!

Being that you ladies are relatively new to this stuff, I feel it my duty to warn the both of you, to be on the lookout (the next time you go shooting) for Serious Sid

Congratulations on the new revolver and your wedding! My son loves his Ruger Bearcat! I hope you and your hubby have many decades of love, happiness, and enjoying shooting together!!!

I have had the pleasure of teaching many women how to shoot - often the session with me being their first time. I have never had a one that did not enjoy it. I have also found that women are much easier than men to teach how to shoot. The women I have taught actually listen to the instructions, and then actually do what I have taught. I've taught a couple men who never actually handled a real firearm before - but because they had seen some westerns and action flicks, figured they were "naturals" and could shoot with ease. WRONG!

OK guys, I'm gonna let the cat out of the bag.

Ladies,
The dirty little secrete is women who like shooting are inherently better shooters than men. Accurate shooting is a multi tasking skill. Breath control, trigger control, sight acquisition, and target acquisition. Women naturally multi task much better than men.

This is why guys are notorious for handing the new lady shooter the biggest gun they got, so they can scare them off.

Look out guys, prepare to be embarrassed.

Steve, I love a woman shooter just as much as the next man, and would love to marry one. But as a school psychologist, I have to say what men lack in "multi-tasking" cognitive skills, we make up for in "testosterone level!". Sometimes it REALLY IS "balls over brains!"

That being said, I'm thrilled to have the participation of our new lady friends on this board, and we sincerely need a woman's touch and wisdom to balance things out here!

God Bless You, Ladies!

Hi Andy,
You are probably right in most cases but whatcha think the"testosterone level" was of that Russian female sniper from WWII that had something like 400 confirmed Kills. She almost single handedly terrorized the whole occupying German army.

Steve, if I could elaborate on this subject for a moment. I spent 10 years of my life doing Jujitsu, a traditional Japanese martial art. I gave it up years ago, but I want to share my experiences with you all. Besides my Sensei, I also trained under one of his students who was a black belt by the name of Lisa G. I trained under her and other students of my Sensei. Lisa G. eventually married a fine fellow who leads expiditions up into the Himilayas, and a great guy he is. I also met the highest ranking female in the American Judo and Jujitsu Federation by the name of Jane C. when I was a lowly Kyu rank. If I wasn't already committed to training with my own Sensei, I would have chosen to train with her. She represented the finest qualities of the gentleness of a woman with the "toughness" of a man. At one point during those ten years, she ate some sushi that almost killed her. They had to perform emergency abdominal surgery to save her life, and her abdominal muscles were the thickest the surgeons had ever seen. Women represent the toughest that men can be, but also the most tender. But I also spent 10 years doing massage therapy, and I can also say that the "testerone level" of male therapists made us better healers in many instances. Personally, I like to think that God created two genders for just this reason. There is nothing that a guy respects and loves more than a "cast iron woman". But regardless of physical gender, the "role" of feminine or masculine gender lives on even in homosexual relationships. Ladies, I hope you will continue to post here and share with us your experiences. We just love to hear about them.

No disrespect intended, and hope perceived.

Sincerely,

CowboyTutt

My lady enjoyed shooting in her teens and was a crack shot... tells me she grew out of it and to this day can't understand why I haven't.

I read somewhere that the reason women are inherently better shooters than men is their hearts are more stable, they don't throb as much when they beat.

I think women are better shooters because they follow instructions. Men think they come from the womb with some DNA that automatically allows them to be crack shots. Most men won't take instruction very well. All that testosterone gets in the way.

Congratulations to Miss Kitty and Dwight. He must be one special guy to go to all the trouble to find her a left handed Bearcat.

My point exactly. Back in the day I would have said that most men, having seen all the John Wayne westerns, figured they were natural shots. Now I'm afraid if I mentioned "John Wayne" to most young men these days they wouldn't have a clue! :( My son, of course, is not in that camp - he loves JW flicks! :D
