someone might find opportunity here. Y'all know this operation is dear to my heart. at the very least this is a valuable prayer list.

I spent most of my years there in Mozambique and am still involved in helping out as I can. Right now with the terrorists activity in Northern Mozambique, the group I was with is feeding over 20,000 people a day ... folks who are fleeing the terrorists and who have nothing. It's a critical situation ... which is to say, it is a fairly common thing but also a great opportunity to help.

STATEMENT FROM IRIS GLOBAL ABOUT THE SITUATION IN MOZAMBIQUE

Our most urgent focus right now is the crisis in northern Mozambique. Over the last four years, more than 700,000 people have fled violent insurgents with many seeking safety in Pemba and surrounding villages. The situation has deteriorated dramatically and experts have recommended communities and organizations like Iris serving in the region prepare for a protracted season of terror and instability.

We will persevere in this work for as long as there is need. As we face this manifestation of evil, we keep Jesus ever before us knowing He already laid His life down for us. May your heart be filled with compassion to pray for the hurting and lost to come to know Jesus and for his love to transform the nation of Mozambique for eternity.

Thanks Jim. It's hard to believe how hard it is for so many people.

If you have links for donations that directly feed these people, and that support the missions involved, please post them up.

people can be involved with the ministry of helps, and participate in distant lives without leaving the keyboard.

kind of a weird thought, but it's Action never the less.

Giving can be done on this page - https://www.irisglobal.org/give

You can choose to give generally by scrolling down ... and give to the general fund to be used where ever needed or give to specific area or even to a specific missionary. If anyone is interested in giving to a specific missionary contact me and I can share the people I personally know and have spent time with. Or you can give toward the Computer Center we built there in my wife's memory. I can show you how to do that.

My church supports an overseer and his church's in Kenya (well over 100 not sure?). He is a native of there, and comes to the states every summer, visits us. Couple years ago he brought a slide show showing how they where able to finally put running water in many many homes.
We read and hear about persecution here, but he has told us of the reality of it there day by day! He stood behind the pulpit and gave testimony of a personal devine deliverance of his own, that would've certainly took his life! Instead one of the killers was converted!
Sure is good to acknowledge the blessings of being born and living here, when you talk too someone who's actually lived over there! And what an opportunity it is to be able to help them!
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life"

"Better drawdown Alvin!"
"If you gotta shoot, shoot don't talk"
Conservative since day one and until the last!
