Okay how old is this?

Post by shasta_steve »

Well going through some of my uncle's things I found this pound of powder. What struck me as strange was the price. $2.50 I started reloading about 35 years ago and have never seen anything close to that. I am guessing it may be some of my Uncle's and Dad's powder from the sixties.

Is the manufacturer's address on the can? If so, is there a ZIP code? ZIP codes were introduced in 1963
The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

I have never seen one with that type of lid. Pretty cool.

I have a BLC 2 can looks the same and I bought it for $2.75 in 1968 at a LGS. Back then wages were $100/wk. afish4570

I'd agree with late 60's date. Prior to that in the 50's and before they used screw on caps. So this simple push fit cap was a later cost saving thing.
