Just because they show up doesn't guarantee them the right to leave.

They better pack a lunch. They're in for a long day.
Well, maybe.

Re: City folk are a comin
It is downright un-neighborly to show up uninvited and not bring food with you. If things get bad enough, the jerks who do that might find out how unfriendly some folks have become.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

They may just find out that wearing one's pants around their thighs is not conducive to running away!
Re: City folk are a comin
Ex-city boy here. Spent first 60 years in LA county. But you fellers need not be concerned. City folk's knowledge/lore is too different than rural folks and the invasion is of no concern (I was able to make the transition because my father was Okie and my mother was Texan, so my blood was rebelling while I lived in Compton). Urban skills included street fighting, close quarter theft, burglary, and street navigation (put a city boy in with a bunch of trees and he'll be lost within 20 yards). The urban gun handling is unique as a handgun is held at shoulder height or higher, with the ejection port up. Aiming is not necessary. Shooting is rarely done in the open, mostly behind cars or convenience store potato chip shelves. But urban combatants excel at spraying an area from a moving car, often leaning out the window shouting profanities. Long guns are unheard of and rarely seen on the street (too difficult to shoot a 12 ga one handed holding it overhead.). Since rural/country folk's skills differ and are more appropriate to the area I don't think there would be a problem defending one's homestead. Real marksmanship, firearm knowledge and a usable variety of firearms, rather than a stolen pistol, will trump "run and gun" and moving vehicle "marksman ship" every time...

Since I live in the city, and all but a couple neighbors are yuppies, I don't worry much about my neighbors. It's the rest of the city I worry about! Our governor issued an executive order yesterday to close down the whole state. Only travel allowed is essential. Food, gas, and emergency medical. Even my scheduled hernia surgery got cancelled this morning as being "elective"???? I asked the person how my intestines hanging way out of my stomach lining was considered elective? She said the hospital said it can only be done if I go to emergency.
