New things Norma and i have made .

Post by Pitchy »

Yesterday we made a peace pipe.

Day before made a eight ball with a thieving crow on it, making a six inch ball is difficult with my equipment.
Poured lead in the bottom half so it can tip and come back upright.

YAY! Lenn is back! Ditto on the void left when you took a time out, my friend. That's a handsome peace pipe.
One year I grew some "native" tobacco -- Nicotiana quadrivalvis -- in a corner of a raised bed. It is a lovely plant in and of itself, and when I took a puff of the dried and crushed leaves in a corncob pipe, I knew I had better quit before I was hooked again!

Offer peace. Be ready for war. That is old wisdom. Unfortunately, not everyone is willing to accept peace. That is just human nature.

I like the way you built and decorated the peace pipes. Pitchy, you are a clever and talented man!

Thanks fellars, Merle made it from two square pieces of wood put a groove down the middle of each then glued them together.
Then used the side grinder and sanded them round.

Today we made a wind chime, ya make a 1/4 or half inch slit down the side about five inch long, attach the caps on a board so ya can turn the bottles proper.
I put it on a stand so it will point into the wind , the slits will be approx. on the sides to the wind.

Thanks Bill, not sure yet on the sound can`t get the wind to blow when ya want to don`t ya know.
Also the bottles might work as a tail instead of the tail we`ll have to see.
If we get some wind i`ll shoot a video. :)

Pitchy do you have any older lawnmower blades from 60's or 70's.. ?
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I really like this. It looks very practical.

Could be a camper with mosquito netting. Or could have a little engine driving the rear axles. Or a big battery and electric motor...

Lenn I don't know if you need to read a book or write one. You certainly have enough ideas floating around in your head to write one. Just your patterns should be worth a fortune. What a shame the generation coming after us won't have any appreciation for these kinds of things.
