I like what I’ve been able to see from Cutco. But I have never bought any. The only place I have seen them are county fairs and such. I can’t get past the kids they hire for such events. They know only the script they’ve been taught and use fast talk and high pressure to make a sale.

Get them off script by asking questions and the info well dries up.

CutCo has good customer service. The handle matrial on the kitchen knives stands up well to repeated use in the dishwasher. An Aunt has had a set of CutCo for somewhere around 40 to 50 years. I am not quite certain. They still look good, but they have been sharpened enough times that it can be noticed. Use a knife and sharpen it, and it will show wear.

Yes, the younger sales people are just selling "something" for a job. I got lucky and found one representative who knows his products. He is the one who told me it is 440A steel.

It didn't pull up for me. Case does usually make good quality knives.

Case knives certainly have a well deserved reputation, if I didn't have so many pocket knives I'd definitely get one myself...
