Pedersoli 86 carbine
Just saw that Pedersoli is coming out in 2020 with an 86 carbine with a casecolored reciever, should make a nice deer gun
Re: Pedersoli 86 carbine
I just saw a SHOT Show clip of it too and it does look like pretty.
Re: Pedersoli 86 carbine
Their Hunter Lite caught my eye, but it's been out a while. Not quite as light as the Miroku but interesting.
The carbine's specs are 7.9 lb, 39.5", and 6 rounds. Still, that 1895 CB by Marlin is mighty fine...

I have had an 86/71 Pedersoli for years. many people said they had problems with the early ones but Mine is a Gem. 4 1/2# trigger pull, a totally free floating firing pin. no rebounding hammer. it's a full size rifle, sure don't want to carry it around any mountains. If they still build them like mine the carbine should be Great.

Looks Great . If they left the action alone without any added parts it will be nice. the only other modern one I know of is the Browning 86. no rebounder, no tang safety, no problem . I always wanted a Winchester Extra Light but never lucked into one I could afford.
Re: Pedersoli 86 carbine
No, it's thankfully true to original w/out the rebounding hammer, tang safety, etc. Now, on a similar but different note, Pedersoli makes two versions of their Boarbuster: one of which is like their 1886 (no rebounding hammer, no tang safety), and another (which does have a tang safety, but maintains the original hammer (half-cock safety). That last one with the tang safety I mentioned is supposedly popular in Europe for wild boar hunting for whatever reason according to a Pedersoli promotional video which can be found on youtube. The Boarbuster is offered in both 45-70 and 444 Marlin and comes with a 19" barrel. Too bad they don't make the 444 with a longer barrel. I wish Winchester would make their 1886 in 444 Marlin.

All nice rifles.
However have you considered the Winchester or Browning 1895 in .405 WCF? FACTORY HORNADY 300 GRAIN BULLET AT 2225 FPS.
IT CAN BE HAND LOADED WITH BULLETS FROM 210 TO 400 GRAINS.
