Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

The Freakonomics books are excellent, even if I don't agree with their every premise. Definitely worth your time.

The best part of the article posted by AJMD429:

"But the simple fact is that there are no viable political answers to it. So, in regard to your precise question, I think no, I don’t think gun violence should be on the political agenda at all. I think it’s so hopelessly convoluted. And the kinds of policies that people suggest are so obviously not going to fundamentally affect that the problem, that while there is a big problem, I don’t think there’s any way out given the kind of minimalist suggestions we’re making."

Also loved this line:

"Gun buybacks are one of the most ineffectual public policies that have ever been invented in the history of mankind."
