I really did how he moved the pole barn from one property to another with only a lever.

I saw his movie on youtube a while back. Now we know how the pyramids were built.

When OI showed me this last summer I thought about building something up at Mom's place. It is neat and everyone should know about it. Might come in handy some day.
Sincerely,

Hobie

I just have to admire a retiree who gets this into exercising his mind AND body, especially in a way that could possible help to teach more efficient techniques to members of the profession he had practiced.

Amazing! I am stunned that one man can move masses this great. If you were actully using this technique instead of demonstrating historical use, you could use two water tanks and and pump between them to "walk" or tilt the beam for adding cribbing.

man o man !

that's a great wrinkle, I wonder why that guy didn't think of it. it's a lot easier to move water than rocks if you pump it. there were definately water pumps around in the good old days...

Building houses by myself in remote country I have been able to set large beams etc using ladders, brains, and my truck. I figured if they did it in the old days with hand tools, I could do it now. Saved a lot on crane bills.
