Eight things:

Firearm. Least likely to be needed but most lethal if needed and not had.

Wallet. Money useful, ID often essential.

Cellphone. These days pretty vital for just basic communication. AR-15 mag pouch WAY better than any pouches sold ' for cellphones'.

Multitool. Leatherman Wave meets most needs; I use it daily for various tasks. Rides in half of dual-magazi e pouch. Other side holds either Taurus PT-92 9mm 18 rounder or Para Ordnance P-14 45 ACP 15 rounder.

Keys. Gotta get back in the house, start the car, etc....

Light. Unlikely to need but nice to have. Headlamp more practical than hand-held, and batteries kept in separate smaller zip lock with headlamp.

CPR valve. In case the one being resuscitated has cooties.

Exam gloves. See above; in ziplock with the headlamp.

Extra item - flashdrive. Useful for exchanging data files, documents, music, etc. Just on keyring but not an essential EDC item. COULD be though - with important medical information or stuff like that I guess.

a mean looking kid brings an electric motor into a pawn shop..... "What you give me for this, mister ?"

the pawn broker was suspicious, asking, "Where did you get it ?"

the imp replied, "uncle joe's iron lung."

the pawn broker asked, "and just what did uncle joe have to say about that ?"

"Nuthin....he looked real mad at me at first then he turned red in the face and then blue !"
