Ah Bugs Bunny- possibly the best entertainment ever. Hmm let's think about this, I dont recall ever being compelled to hurt my fellow man in any way after watching a CARTOON! Have you?

My brother and I did try to build an Acme Crossbow using a Model T spring, but when Dad figured out what we were up to our spring suddenly was in two pieces.

Isn't it strange how those of us who saw the Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Road Runner type of cartoon violence were not affected by it the way the young people of today are by the violence on the national news? I never even knew anyone outside of Military or Law Enforcement who even pointed a gun at another person until I was old enough and mature enough to be responsible for anything that I did. We knew that cartoon violence was just to be funny. We knew that John Wayne, Randolph Scott, Hopalong Cassidy, and a bunch of other Western Heroes were not using real guns and that it was Play-Acting. We probably did learn some valuable lessons about manners and doing your job from our parents, and those lessons were reinforced by the Good Guys on the screen. Even the later movies such as Billy Jack were still trying to have us be able to live together as a society. I just do not see the same level of concern for others in today's TV or Movies. In my opinion, society is not going in a positive direction.

I will step off of the Soap Box now.

Though I know every generation has said this about the next, we really see it! Previous generations did not have to put up with "Drag Queen Story Time" at the local library.

I rest my case. We are going, as a society, to hell in a hand basket...
