I will do it. As a Marine myself I know where he is coming from.
After so many days in the field with no action you want some action.
After all that is why people sign up for the CORPS.
Awesome video makes me proud to have worn the Eagle Globe ad Anchor.

We hashed this one out a few months ago. I think I was in the majority in my agreement that this was simply good soldiering! Makes us proud!!! :D

As combat troops are want to do, the older boy and his friends came up with a nickname for indiginous personel. During his last visit to Iraq, they were specifically told not to use this name. It seems that some in the press had heard it and thought that it was disparaging of the native population. They were actually told they would be disilined if they were heard to say "haji" (sp). It seems that our combat troops are no longer allowed to use even "harsh language" against those that would kill them. Some time back, before the days of political correctness, my freinds and I used quite a few names for the locals. Today, names like "charlie" and "gook" are bound to get one labeled as a "bigot". This usually is done by soemone who was never there, and quite often not born at the time. Well, combat troops have "EARNED" their prejudices. Dad didn't think much of the German population either. Considering their avid attempt at killing him, I can't blame him. And I won't blame any young soldier, airman, sailor or Marine who feels the same.
