It was probably watching from close by. Most feeders are not stable enough for a 180 pound catamount to launch itself very well from them. I could be wrong, but I would need a little proof.

Too bad so many people feed deer.....it is probably one of the biggest factors for spreading CWD.... :|

At least THIS deer won't have that issue....

That would have been a perforated puddy tat for sure.

My guess was going to be Texas...

Then I did a "reverse image search" on Google and confirmed it was, as it was posted on TexasBowHunter.com. It was posted in 2016 but some comments said it was originally posted way back in 1998 as one of the first images on that site.

That cat's been dragging that deer for a long time!

Thanks 7.
I thought that might be Texas.
Seeing a Mountain lion is a rare event for most folks, but there are many more around than city folk know. The few that I have seen have been COOL with a capital C.

I believe Fish & Game needs to site the cougar for hunting over bait. I imagine it sat out in the dark down wind and waited for the deer to get comfortable. At least the deer had a good last supper.
