I will be 5 miles from there tomorrow at work. Alpine is my favorite outdoor range.

I did not stop by there after work, but it was close enough. The folks at Alpine are friendly, and they have people on staff who are knowledgeable on most firearms. Their younger members actually defer questions to the older and more knowledgeable members. This is not one of those places where the tactical operators operating tactically are behind the counter and are too cool to serve you in a timely manner. At Alpine they are helpful and polite.

Maybe . . . maybe not. More like good marketing.

I just weighed my 180grn 40s&w handloads that they list for $9.99/lb. 2lbs equals only 53 rds so essentially, you're paying $18.87 for 50rds or 37.7¢ per rd. Not a deal by any means when bulk 40s&w ammo routinely goes for about ½ that price at .20-.21¢ per rd.
good catch Steve, I never thought about the per round cost. Actually ,except for shotshells and .22 rf I haven’t bought any factory made ammo in probably 15 years.

If someone wants to find a way to take advantage of something that Wally World does, then why should I pee on their parade? I am not buying ammo by the pound, but someone might.
