Thirteen years ago today

This beautiful lady said yes.

We usually go somewhere for our anniversary but couldn't settle on a destination. I wanted to stay home and hang out
and relax for a few days. We flipped a coin and I won. We did go out for dinner several times, but it was
nice to hang out and do some stuff around the house.

Congratulations. I've slept next to the same woman approximately 14,500 nights, and it's still great.

Way to go Jason! I've said it before......your a lucky dude.....not every gal lets her man buy 20-30 guns a year. Maybe that's the secret......buy more guns and let your sweetheart buy all the diamonds she wants.

By the way doc...it's been 17, 201 days and 21 hours for us......----6

It has helped in our case that we still say "I love you" several times a day.

Thanks Gunny, Bubbles and I had a great weekend. Shouldn't have gone back to work today! Just miserable, but it happens I guess.

That is a worthwhile milestone to celebrate, too. Congratulations to all who can find a good spouse and stick by their decision. It is a rare quality anymore to be able to stick by a decision, even when it is a good one.

90% of it is the COMMITMENT.....there are 3 billion of each gender on the planet, and 300 million within plus or minus four years of any given age, and of 300 million, if you say only the top one percent are a 'potential mate', that leaves 3 million. Figuring that only one in a thousand of them would actually be a 'great mate', we still have around 3,000 who could have ridden the river of life with us and done well.

But still, so many people jump out of the boat before the trip is done.

Unless you marry because you are just looking at anatomy or convenience, you can likely make it work and be a good thing, but ONLY if you AND the spouse both are determined to make it work, versus always looking for greener grass on the other side of the fence.

Thanks Brian!

She’s a sweetie and doesn’t realize how pretty she is. She gets hit on constantly when she’s is at work but just blows it off.
There has been a few times when we have been out when some dude thinks it’s ok to come over and be a creep. They always go away when I get up at 6’2 and 240 and say Something unpleasant.
