A parable

Post by jnyork »

A large band of sheep were peacefully grazing in a meadow when an evil wolf came running out of the nearby forest and sank his teeth into several of the sheep, killing two and injuring several others .

The sheep were appalled and saddened by the loss of their comrades from these bites, and determined to "do something" to prevent further occurances.

So, they all went to the dentist and had their teeth pulled.

If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

If that wasn’t so true it would be funny. Fortunately there are some sheep dogs out there!

The trouble for the sheepdogs is that the sheep want to rid themselves of the sheepdogs in hopes that the wolves will somehow see that as a sign that they should become vegetables, too.

Ah but sheepdogs DONT CARE WHAT SHEEP THINK.
Sheepdogs know that sheep are too dumb to protect themselves so they must herd the sheep to safety even if the sheep don’t want to go.

So wouldn't a "Wolf Free Zone" sign suffice?

That response may be silly if the wolf-attacks only happen once a month, but what if they start happening every day (an 'epidemic of wolf violence'); that response somehow magically becomes rational then, right...?
