Whoa...whoa...whoa here! The Kubota never entered into the equation.....and besides, who is ANYBODY to give my Kubota away????? I'm just a poor peon former factory worker and Pitchy is a world class engineer and master fabricator.....therefore I (ME) get dibs on Pitchy's masterpiece. Gunny has more toys than he needs so he should stay outta this. It's MINE whether I win page 100 or not!!!!

On serious note, I just came in from cutting the back pasture just to see if there were any more pictures of continual improvements on Pitchy's machine.....well, I was a little thirsty too.

Thanks harry, i don`t know much about figuring that stuff.

Got the motor mounted great running little engine but i think its going to be a little too fast, thinking i`ll have to go from the four inch sprocket on the jackshaft to a six inch that`s as big as i can get on it.

I calculated using a 9 tooth/40 tooth sprocket, then 9 tooth/30 tooth turning the 8 inch dia. drive roller. 2000 RPM at the motor should give about 2.9 mph which, I think, is about right but only trial runs will prove what little changes are required. Lookin' good Lenn.

There ya go.....Gunny's thinking......I was thinking put .456 gears in the differential with push button axle locks for traction, like I have in the Jeep. It'll help when your mowing in the morning.---6

Picked up a 36 tooth sprocket today which is six inches in dia. and it`s still to fast, so i ordered a 60 tooth which is 10 inch in dia. and the biggest i can put on it.
I have to raise the rpm enough to engage the clutch and it`s just a little to fast so the 60 may work.
I should of went with belt drive with a tensioner then i could slow the engine down ect. and the speed.
Ya would of got a kick out the try out this morn, i was moving along at a fast clip on the trailer then i pushed the throttle the wrong way and about lost it popping a wheely too.

The only sketchy part is how much slippage the roller exhibits under power. It may need some cleats to get enough traction. Whatcha think?

If you can't get the gears reduced enough, could you add a reduction gear in there? Sort of looks like a side by side gear. The gear and chain off the motor goes to the gear of the reduction gear, which has another gear attached beside it which is smaller and runs the chain to the final drive gear. It sort of looks as if it steps sideways in the middle. Once it is set it is a decently durable system. It also allows for gear changes within a small range.

I don't even pretend to be a mechanic, and if my terms are wrong you can ask me more and I will try to explain it.

Can you go any smaller on the primary gear? One or two teeth less on the primary makes a huge difference in reducing speed and increasing torque.

You guys wonder why when other strangers come onboard at Leverguns like it so much...much better than other drab forums. It's because of the camaraderie we have, the fun and games, and of course, wild living legends such as Pitchy.

This Garand Post/reality show is near 100 pages in less than a year.....bet dat wone be fund anywheres else. Oooooooooooo.....can't wait to win the BIG PRIZE on page 100........000000000oooooo. Hint.....either me, Gunny, Tom, Griff will be able to give our tractors/lawn mowers a break. Old Savage don't have to worry about that,....he's rich and pays people to do that kind of work. His hands need to stay soft and supple so he can feel the "soft stuff".

Gunnnnnyyyy.......headed to the gunclub tomorrow for accuracy testing with the LWRC CSASS and the Blackout. Speaking of blackouts, I feel there's going to be a lot of them out after the smoke clears in Philly.----6

Pitchy...hey pal.....I need to know for sure what your plans are...the producer over at the Garand Post is hearing the rumors about you quitting the show and has threatened to put a stop to future programming....if that's the case, we are out of a job. Gunny will have to sell his dogs, Fordwannabe has to sell his Mustang, Griff will put the Black Rose up for sale, Turtledude has to sell the cabin upstate, Old Savage will have to cut his harem down to 5 girls. I won't have a problem, I got plenty of loot, but the extra money does help with the Sierra Matchkings bullets for the matches and the 93 octane gas for the Jeep. :D

If it comes down to you actually leaving, can I have your parking spot in front of the office and your locker in the men's room?. -----your pal-----6

P.S...if you leave, I'm shooting the BAR man with black tip 30-06 ammo
