I like it!! I use those pancake compressors all the time on jobs, I hate hearing them run so I try to stick it as far away as possible- even if I need 150' of hose!!
You could sound proof the cabinet and just drill holes for the cord and hose and sell that setup!!

That's true.
I bought a 25 gal stand up compressor for my shop. Actually put a small addition on just to put it behind a closed door so I dont have to hear it. Also got my dust collector in as well giving me more square footage.

Nice job! Looks like you could keep it in the kitchen now! :D
I hate that noise too. I have a 27 gallon one in my garage. I purposely got a belt drive one cause it was quiet. Well......more quiet. :D

Hahaha well that's a good afternoon! I'm having a coffee cause I just got up.
Had another buddy get hit last week. He is an MC guy but a good guy. Thought he was gonna lose a leg but they saved it. Broke both arms and a lot of other problems.

LOVE THE LATCH!

BTW, put it far away and use lots of large diameter hose. The extra hose increases the size of the tank!

I was really curious when I saw the title. That is super handy. I've got a 5hp two-stage Ingersol-Rand and my brain was just racing trying to figure out how someone would build a cabinet for it. Your solution is perfect though. I've got a Hankison air dryer attached to mine so I would have to build an entire armoire for it. Plus, I've got it lag bolted into the garage floor ... so not as handy.
