Since this baseball thread was started, I will add my 2¢

I would like the thank the Mets for a perfect "Mets season". As a true Mets fan I find myself disappointed if they don't disappoint me (true Cubs fans will know what I mean). This year they didn't let us down, and I would like to commend them for doing it in classic form. :D

Is this part of the "Wear Red On Friday" political thing? And why red sox? (most folks spell it socks). A red tie would be easier to match things with. A red shirt could be worn with jeans or slacks or even shorts (if you've got the legs and weather to pull it off) There's not much you can wear with red socks. Of course, you could always wear them as boot socks, no one would be the wiser until you took your boots off and that kind of defeats the whole "Wear red on Friday" thing too. Me? I favor good ol' gray socks myself, although I have some black "Gold Toe" brand dress socks I like as well.

Well, I figure it's best to stay on good terms with the wife. She's never shut me out, well there was that one time but she claimed it was an accident. And I don't think that the color of my socks had anything to do with it. IIRC I was wearing good ol' Hanes gray work socks at the time. Still, would red socks have gotten back in the house faster? Somehow I doubt it. She'd fallen asleep (so she says) and it wasn't 'til I called that she realized I was outside wantin' in. Could have used a cell phone, but red socks? Nope. They'd not have done any good that I can tell. So I realy don't understand how red socks would win in a shut out...

It's good to have a team that you can count on to be there or near there every year. I've been a Tigers fan even when they were losing 119 games! But a fair weather fan i'm not. Go Sox

Victor,

The Sox-Cubbies matchup made in Heaven will not happen
I didn't fail the test, I just found 100 ways to do it wrong.
