How is NATH from England doing ? ? ?

Post by Old No7 »

Gee, I just thought that I hadn't seen any hunting stories or game pictures posted by Nath from England lately, and then I checked and saw he hasn't posted since mid-January...

I recall one of his last posts mentioned him having hernia surgery before the New Year; and that could explain the lack of hunting, possibly; and maybe the lack of recent posting too; but for his visits to the site........... He last was on 3 months ago..........

I sure do hope he's OK and doing well!

I sent Nath a card asking if he was okay only this Monday, I haven't received a reply yet, maybe he is away on vacation.

I will follow it up if I hear nothing.

Sounds like the stupid 'game laws' there have gotten so bad he may have his livelihood and passion hit pretty bad... :|

I will write to him again, I don't have his current phone number, it's a week since I last wrote to Nath but maybe he is away from home, or changed his address.

John, I just PM'd you a UK Phone Number for Nath that is maybe 8 years old; from my last visit over there. I recall I had arrived a day early and I wasn't able to get down to where he was, but managed to speak to him for 10 minutes or so. That was a long time ago, but I just checked an old file I had, and found the #.

I sure hope you're able to reach him with a local call -- and not a long distance one...

I tried that number earlier and got a " not recognised " reply from the operator. I too had that number from about 8 or 9 years ago.
Lots of folks here just use cell phones, I tried to find Naths number in the phone directory but it's not listed anymore.
I will send him another card ( the ones he likes to use for targets ) tomorrow when I'm in town.

Gamekeeper, any chance the police in his town could make a welfare check? This sounds somewhat ominous.

I confess to having checked death notices in the local town newspapers where a friend has "gone dark." Hope he is just on holiday -- and gets a good laugh out of this thread.

I sent a love letter to Nath today, over on the traditional muzzleloading forum, and told him he was missed.

He replied a few hours ago:

Thank you Pete.
Very kind of you.
I will call in soon.
Good to hear from you.

Nathan.

That means he must hate us, and we should figure out which one of us to blame.....

It was me. It was an argument over whether or not mint belongs in mushy peas.
Kind regards,

I'd leave if someone suggested such a thing as putting mint in mushy peas......... that's worse than scoping a leveraction........

Well now GK, I shot a deer at 275 yds with a scoped lever action. Just wondering what you might use for that. BTW ,I don't put mint in anything.

I have a mix and most aren't scoped but accuracy is prime and about 27 years ago I saw my 1 1/2" groups open up to about 10" with astigmatism. That has varied since with my eyes changing but my current interest is my 16" Rossi 92 Trapper in .357. No scope there if course.
